The Romance of the Past
Built in 1901, the historic Monclova Country Church on the grounds of the Wolcott House Museum Complex is a perfect venue for wedding ceremonies and special events and can accommodate 100 guests. The church's Gothic architecture is elegant in its simplicity and also offers a large dressing room/meeting room, a kitchenette and 2 restrooms located in the basement. (Note: There is no elevator in the building for lower level handicap access)
The rental rate is $350.00 for a 4-hour block of time. A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 to hold the date is due when signing the reservation form. Rental time can be split to accommodate rehearsal, decorating, and the ceremony on different days, if desired. (Additional time may be purchased at only $50 per hour). A security deposit is also required for wedding ceremonies. Please see rental form agreement for detailed information.
The Monclova Church may also be rented for meetings, wedding and baby showers and other special events.
Rates per hour (if fewer than a four-hour time block is needed)
One hour = $100
Two hours = $200
Three hours = $300
The Old Monclova Church has been newly equipped and is weather efficient with both an updated heating system and air conditioning for year-round comfort.
